Verb List, ma compilation est une traduction de l’oeuvre Verb List de Richard Serra où mon corps devient le matériau à activer par quelquesverbes sélectionnés dans la longue liste manuscrite de Serra. Dans cette transposition, j’utilise le Split-screen afin d’établir une relation avec la structure de Verb List.
L’horizontalité du corps au sol accentuée par le format horizontal du cadre réfère à l’horizontalité de l’écriture, la verticalité à la superposition en colonnes des verbes ainsi qu’au support d’inscription.

Verb List, ma compilation is a translation of Richard Serra’s work Verb List, in which my body becomes the material to be activated by some verbs selected in Serra’s long handwritten list. In this transposition, I use split screen to establish a relationship with the structure of Verb List.
The body’s horizontality on the ground, emphasized by the frame’s horizontal format, refers to the horizontality of writing and the verticality of the verbs’ stacking into columns, as well as to the support on which they are inscribed.
