BIO : Miriam Ginestier
Miriam Ginestier is associate artistic director of OUT Productions, a project-based theatre company, and co-artistic director of Studio 303, a Montréal dance and interdisciplinary arts centre. Miriam is also an active performer, filmmaker and DJ. She directed two short hommages to the silent film era, Bonne Fête and Fannie dans le temps, both of which feature her dishevelled flapper alter-ego, Fannie Nipplebottom.
Miriam is a member of Le Regroupement Québécois des Professionels de la Danse (RQPD), an apprentice member of the ACTRA performers’ guild as well as a founding member of Culture Montréal and of the Regroupement Québécois des Artistes Interdisciplinaires.
In August 2003, Miriam was awarded a Prix Arc-en-ciel for her outstanding contribution to queer culture in Montreal.
