Ana Huang naît à Fujian, Chine, en 1986, émigre au Texas en 1996 et partage son temps entre Boston et Shanghai. Elle termine un diplôme de premier cycle en études féministes à l'Université Harvard avec comme centre d'intérêt la culture butch/femme chez les lesbiennes chinoises. Elle a été déléguée du Lala Camp 2007, la première conférence d'envergure des femmes queer chinoises. Need A Ride? est la première incursion de Huang dans la vidéo indépendante. 2014
Ana Huang was born in Fujian, China, in 1986, emigrated to Texas in 1996, and divides her time between Boston and Shanghai. She is completing her undergraduate degree in Women’s Studies at Harvard University, with a focus on butch/femme culture among Chinese lesbians. She was a delegate at Lala Camp 2007, the first Chinese queer women’s conference of its scale, in China in 2007. Need A Ride? is Huang’s first foray into independent video.
