Ultra est un film psychédélique sur le disfonctionnement entre le mobilier et le corps féminin. Par une série de fond coloré et animé, un changement esthétique et conceptuel opère entre le mobilier et le corps. / Ultra is a psychedelic film about the dysfunction between furniture and the female body. Through a series of colorful and animated background, an aesthetic and conceptual change operates between the furniture and the body.
Artist of Quebec City, Carol-Ann Belzil-Normand graduated from Université Laval with a bachelor’s degree in Visual and Media Arts and a bachelors’s degree in animation. She is currently pursuing her research on frivolity in multidisciplinary animation as part of a master’s degree in Visual Arts. As part of her masters, she was selected for a residency at La Bande Vidéo with the contribution of the Fonds Fondation-René-Richard. Also, she has received two grants from the Première Ovation program from Quebec City. Meanwhile, she collaborated in many multidisciplinary events that combine audio, video and performance. Her animated films have been presented at numerous festivals in Canada, Catalonia, Germany, United States, Italy and Russia among others.
