A woman is profiled by an identity detection device. Found to be a threat, she has only seconds in which to come up with a strategy to reverse the machine’s decision.

This disquieting socio-political allegory is centered around the technology adopted by 21st century Western culture desperate to control and to contain. A film for the thoughtful mind.

Sharon Katz’s domestic world takes curious, material form in her work – from needles pushing through fabric to animated pink panties, from beef and bone memento mori to the sensual bonding of a shirt collar and tie. Born and raised in Montreal, she has produced and directed six animated short films. She continues to work in narrative animation, video/sculpture hybrids, and drawing/assemblage.
