GROUPE INTERVENTION VIDEO (GIV)

On the occasion of the exhibition Le catalogue des futurs by the artist Stéphane Gilot in the Joliette Art Museum, I performed in one of the rooms. Greatly inspired by a video from the exhibition (Les fantômes), I wanted to refer to the disturbing atmosphere of the work by creating the sonic presence of a character. The latter has a strange gait and wears coveralls.

Belinda Campbell est une artiste multidisciplinaire qui vit et travaille à Montréal. Son travail oscille surtout entre la performance, la vidéo, la musique, le dessin et la poésie. En 2004, elle commence à s’intéresser à la performance de façon solo et aussi en duo avec Caroline Dubois. Ensemble, elles formeront le duo Fesses et Crécelle (2006-2010). Elle développe depuis quelques années des performances qui questionnent les archétypes du clown. Jouant du piano, elle s’intéresse à la manipulation de certains instruments, comme le Korg, qu’elle aborde en composition.

Belinda Campbell is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Montreal. Her work oscillates between performance, video, music, drawing and poetry. In 2004, she became interested in performance on a solo basis and also in duet with Caroline Dubois. Together they formed Fesses et Crécelle (2006-2010). For a few years, Campbell has developed performances that question clown archetypes. Playing the piano, she is interested in manipulating certain instruments that she uses to compose, such as the korg.
